The Limoncello di Sicilia is more typical liqueur than our beautiful land of Sicily, produced by the F.lli Russo distillery in Santa Venerina in the province of Catania. Our land is generous and offers us fresh lemons all year round, in fact we have four lemons productions including the "Verdello" and the first flower. In addition, our lemons, which come strictly from the Etnea area and by biological crops, are rather small and their peel is rich in aromas and intense perfumes that we can capture and transfer to our limoncello di Sicilia which becomes a liqueur of rare fragrance , appreciated in Italy and abroad.

Water, sugar, alcohol, lemon zest infusion.

CHARACTERISTICS

The production method is the artisan one: the lemons, immediately after the collection, are selected and peeled by hand, in order to obtain a very thin peel, without the white part that would make the liqueur bitter. The skins are immediately immersed in pure alcohol and remain there for a few days. Subsequently the infusion is mixed with a solution of water and sugar.
The limoncello of Sicily has a yellow-green color, it presents itself dense and pasty to the taste. It is served well in small glasses also frozen. Its digestive properties make it an excellent end of the meal, also excellent in the preparation of Macedonie
